   PUB Consultants Private Limited

PUB Consultants Private Limited (PUBC) is the commercial arm of PUB and plays the strategic and active facilitative roles in assisting PUB to achieve its goal in developing the Singapore Water industry. PUBC harnesses PUB’s operational experience and resources to support the Singapore-based water companies in their overseas ventures in projects relating to infrastructure development and operation and maintenance of municipal systems in water supply, used water treatment and disposal, water reclamation and recycling. PUBC is also engaged in applied research, development and pilot testing of new water technologies for commercialisation through its Centre for Advanced Water Technology (“CAWT”), a division of the Company.

PUBC taps on PUB’s contacts to international public and private players to help secure beachhead projects that open gateways for our water companies in key markets of Middle East, North Africa, China, South East Asia, Australia and India.

For Internationalization, PUBC actively promotes local water industry in development of overseas business potential for large scale projects. PUBC has developed excellent relationship and business network with various Government agencies and authorities. Some of the projects undertaken by PUBC included the followings:

Middle East

  • As the technology partner to Keppel Seghers to design, build and operate a 250,000 m3/day capacity sewerage treatment plant in Doha North, Qatar.
  • Provided consultancy services on the UFW and full audit study to the Ministry of Water and Electricity, Saudi Arabia.
  • Provided training to the General Electricity and Water Corporation, Qatar.

China

  • Partnered with Sembcorp and the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park Company to invest, develop and operate a 50-year BOO concession for industrial wastewater collection, treatment and disposal/recycling for the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park, China.
  • Provided technical due diligence consultancy services to Singapore companies that acquired water treatment plants, used water treatment plants and related network assets in China.
  • Teamed up with the Singapore Consortium led by URA and comprising of HDB, LTA, NEA, NParks, and Surbana International Consultants to provide the consultancy services for the master planning of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, China.

South East Asia

  • Partnered with CPG Consultants Pte Ltd and Jurusy Perunding on the Water demand management/supply enhancement for the Department of Water Services and the integrated drainage catchments studies for the Department of Drainage and Sewerage, Brunei.

Australia

  • Supported Black &Veatch in the design phase of the Western Corridor Recycling Water Scheme in Queensland and also the testing and commissioning of the Bundamba Plant in Brisbane, Australia.

India

  • Provided training to the Administrative Service College, India.

Others

  • Reviewed of water and used water tariff structure for Public Utilities Corporation, Seychelles.
