The best way to minimise erosion is to reduce exposed earth surfaces by phasing of work, covering up, early reinstatement, paving etc. For the remaining exposed earth, apply Best Practices from those listed.

1. Install effective final treatment facilities, such as Siltywater treatment plants
   
   
2. Ensure adequate storage volume for collection of silty water
   
   
3. Reduce exposed earth areas by phasing of earth works, paving , use of erosion control blankets and canvas covers, etc
   
   
4. Treat silty water collected immediately to ensure adequate storage is always available
   
   
5. Educate/supervise site works staff to maintian ECM at all time
   
   
6. Access weather forecast in NEA website to take ECM actions before rain
   
   
7. Install online website CCTV and TSS meter to monitor discharge
