Besides attracting investments and international water companies to Singapore, PUB has also drawn foreign talents to work in the water industry here. This diversity of talents, viewpoints and cultural sensibilities makes a world of difference to the organisation. Ong May Anne talks to some of our `UN representatives' and finds that they are united - by their love for water.

Kaushal Raj Chaudhary
Engineer, Water Supply (Plants)

While studying for his bachelor's degree at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Kaushal attended a talk by professors from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University. It was then that he came to know about PUB and the water industry in Singapore. Hearing about PUB's accomplishments such as NEWater, and its plans to set up a desalination plant, Kaushal was thrilled.

"All these terms were new to me at the time," says the Nepalese , "and I kept wanting to know more about them." That hunger to fill in the blanks brought him to Singapore for his further studies.

Since childhood, Kaushal had wanted to be a water engineer or to be involved in the treatment or management of water in some way. And being in Singapore presented him with the ideal opportunity. "There could not be a better platform to learn than that provided by PUB."
