WATER-EFFICIENT BUILDINGS (WEB) PROGRAMME |

The Water Efficient Buildings Programme is a water conservation initiative. It offers cost-effective solutions and guidelines for non-domestic customers to lower their water consumption and operating costs.
The programme covers:
- Commercial buildings
- Industrial buildings
- Factories
- Educational institutions
- Shopping complexes/centres
- Hotels
- Food courts
- Coffee shops
- Shop houses
Non-domestic customers can transform their premises into Water Efficient Buildings simply by applying the 3Rs (Reviewing, Reducing and Repairing) strategy of water conservation in their management and use of water.
REVIEW
- Monitor water usage.
- Take meter readings regularly.
- Check flow rate using a beaker and watch.
REDUCE
- Reduce water usage.
- Keep to efficient flow rate/ flush volume.
- Recycle/ reuse where possible.
REPAIR
- Avoid water wastage.
- Repair leaking fittings promptly.
