Developers' role

Developers own the site and have the control to ensure that the activities carried out at their sites do not cause muddy waters pollution.

Form in-house silt control committee to address silt control at corporate level and work closely with PUB;

Engage a qualified erosion control professional (QECP) to oversee all erosion control maters for projects involving many contractors;

Develop more details specifications and costing requirements for project tenders;

Audit erosion control measures at development sites or require regular erosion control reports from contractors;

Require on-line instruments and CCTV to monitor the silt level of their project sites.
