5 Knots Speed Limit in Marina Reservoir

In exercise of the powers conferred under Regulation 40(a) of the Public Utilities (Reservoirs and Catchment Areas) Regulations 2006, steersmen, drivers and operators of watercraft are hereby directed, with immediate effect, to comply with the speed limit of 5 knots when operating in Marina Reservoir including Singapore River and Kallang Basin. |

Notwithstanding the speed limit imposed, steersmen, drivers and operators of watercraft are further reminded of the need to maintain a safe speed as required by Regulation 27 of the Public Utilities (Reservoirs and Catchment Areas) Regulations 2006. |

Any person who contravenes this directive shall be guilty of an offence under Regulation 41 of the Public Utilities (Reservoirs and Catchment Areas) Regulations 2006 and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $3,000. |
