| NYE Countdown Party @ Marina Barrage |

| The New Year Eve Countdown Party@Marina Barrage attracted close to 30,000 youths and families. The celebrations started on 31 December 2010 with crowd pleasing performances, followed by spectacular fireworks that lit up the bay. Not forgetting, the carnival that stretched for two days, the weekend long celebration was a hit with the public.

| Singapore Arts Festival 2010's Closing Event - Mega Line Dancing @ Marina Barrage |

Line dancing flourishes nationwide and can be found at shopping malls and community centres. The burgeoning art is part of Singapore’s culture and has been chosen as the activity to conclude 2010's Singapore Arts Festival.
A mass line dance was held on the Green Roof making it one of the biggest line dancing activities in Singapore so far.

| International Musuem Day - Let's Go Flying |

"Let's Go Flying" attracted over 300 kite enthusiasts to Marina Barrage flaunting their hand-made kites. PUB volunteers and instructors from the Singapore Kite Flying Association were on ground to help the newcomers.
Kite making lessons were also available.

| World Water Day 2010

Over 2000 people joined in World Water Day's celebration witnessing the launch of a new Coca-Cola Scouts Water Badge programme.
There was also a Fun Dragon Boat Race and Kallang Basin Clean up exercise graced by Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources.

This is the 2nd visit by senior government officials from Timor Leste to Marina Barrage. HE Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, came on 19 Oct 2009.

| Ben & Jerry's ChunkFest 2009 |

Marina Barrage's Green Roof was transformed into a myriad of colours with the annual Chunk Fest by Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.
About 8,000 people came to taste the different ice cream flavours of which 12 were launched at the ChunkFest. Many also grooved to the music of a mini-rock concert, flew kites and participated in the many game stalls.

| National Day Celebration 2009

| Marina Barrage celebrated its first National Day with the public with live telecast of the National Day Parade 2009 at the Water Playground. On that day, Marina Barrage saw more than 10,000 visitors with most donning red or white shirts. |

| Singapore Arts Fest ‘09 Opening |

Singapore Arts Festival held its opening show Hélios II by French urban theatre group La Compagnie Malabar at the Central Courtyard. A performance based on the legend of the birth of the sun god Helios, this spectacular performance featured a procession of circus artists, performances, music and dazzling pyrotechnic displays. More than 25,000 people swamped the barrage over the 3-day event. Acting Minister for Information, Communication and Arts Rear-Adm Lui Tuck Yew was the Guest-of-Honour for the opening day.
