The Singapore Water Association (SWA) is an industry-driven body formed to bring together local water companies and related organizations to develop a vibrant and dynamic water industry in Singapore. Formed in February 2004, the SWA was officially launched on 10 December 2004 with WaterHub and Water Network.
SWA's vision is to be a regional hub for all water services and related technologies. Its mission is to develop a vibrant and dynamic Singapore water industry. Ms Olivia Lum, President of SWA, said, "SWA will boost the local industry by working with relevant agencies and government agencies such as the Institution of Engineers, Singapore, the Public Utilities Board (PUB), and the Economic Development Board on technology development, skills acquisition, and industry missions."
Since its inception, the SWA has attracted membership from more than 30 companies representing different segments of the local water value chain. They comprise system integrators, consultancy and engineering service providers, testing and analytical service providers, equipment suppliers, water treatment chemicals suppliers, membrane technology suppliers and financial institutions. Mr Ron Advani, Vice President of SWA, said, "SWA members can leverage on the strength and expertise of member companies to make Singapore a recognised player in the international water scene."
The SWA is self-funded by industry players. It serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among member companies. The SWA also generates awareness through active collaboration with other water bodies worldwide and by participating in foreign conferences, seminars, exhibitions and trade shows.
Today, SWA has 100 over memberships and continues to be one of the key drivers of a vibrant water industry. To register to be a member of SWA, pl click here. http://www.swa.org.sg/abt_swa.php |

Brief Introduction to KONZEN
In the early 2000’s, having evolved from Ionics which is now part of GE Infrastructure– the subsidiary of Ionics in Asia that eventually became KONZEN was restructured. The move formed an entity owned by a group of successful Asian entrepreneurs who are the current major shareholders.

KONZEN has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in its engineering operations.
In the field of technology incubation, KONZEN is working closely with various Singapore government agencies to identify new solutions for Asian urban infrastructure. KONZEN is the first specialized water technology incubator in Asia.
