About WELSWELS stands for Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme.
In Oct 2006, PUB introduced the voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme covering taps, showerheads, dual flush low capacity flushing cisterns, urinals and urinal flush valves, and clothes washing machines.
To enhance this scheme, PUB has implemented the Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme on 1 July 2009 covering taps, dual flush low capacity flushing cisterns, and urinals and urinal flush valves.
