Gim Tian Civil Engineering Pte Ltd is the appointed contractor by LTA to carry out the Replacement of Vehicular Bridge Bearings and the scope of proposed works is as follows:</p>​ <p> Phase 1 – Deployment of a MOOG machine to carry out the pre-conditional bearings survey at the respective piers P6, P7, P8, P18, P19, P20, P21 of Benjamin Shears Bridge. </p><p>Phase 2 – Installation of temporary platform scaffold access to the underside of Benjamin Shears Bridge after completion of the pre-conditional survey work.</p><p>Phase 3 – Carry out jacking operation & bearings replacement works at the respective piers mentioned above</p><p style="text-align:center;"> <img src="http://public.prdweb.pub.gov.sg/sites/assets/MarinaBarrageAssets/MOOG-Machine.png" class="border-0" alt="" style="margin:5px;width:624px;" /> ​ </p><p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Photo of the MOOG Machine​</span><br></p><p> 2. RC 265 safety boat will be launched and removed daily at 0830 hrs and 1700 hrs respectively with a lorry crane at the amphibious vessel splash point near the F1 Pit Stop Building. The safety boat will be deployed at the respective pier locations, demarcated with yellow floating boom to keep out approaching vessels. At least three (3) sets of yellow floating boom will be deployed on waters to demarcate the area directly underneath where the MOOG machine is operating.
