Metalworld Pte Ltd is the appointed contractor by SP PowerAssets Pte Ltd to inspect all existing security harness such as aluminium coverings plates, security bolts, hinges and related connections for SP PowerAssets transmission cable below Merdeka Bridge and Sir Arthur’s Bridge to ensure the security coverings are properly secured.</p><p>2. RC 262 work platform will be deployed to allow workers to access the underside of the bridges in order to carry out the inspection. A towing boat and a safety boat would be present to facilitate the entire operation. RC 262 work platform will be lowered into the water using a lorry crane from Block 12 Upper Boon Keng Road via the PCN entrance. It will then be towed towards Sir Arthur’s Bridge to carry out the inspection works from 18 to 19 Feb 2019. Thereafter, RC 262 work platform will be towed to Merdeka Bridge for the inspection works from 20 to 28 Feb 2019. All towing operations will be carried out with a towing boat and a safety boat.
