Launched in April 2006, the ABC Waters Programme aims to bring people closer to water so that they can better appreciate and cherish this precious resource.

Today, Singapore has 15 reservoirs, 32 major rivers and more than 7,000 km of canals and drains. Under the ABC Waters programme, these infrastructural assets will be optimized, going beyond their traditional functions of flood control and water storage. New community spaces will be created, offering a host of recreational options for all to enjoy.

Under the ABC Waters Programme, PUB has drawn up a Master Plan identifying over 100 locations where projects will be implemented in phases till 2030.
