PUB Bond
PUB announced the launch of S$300 million 20-year fixed rate bonds (the “20-year bonds”) with a coupon rate of 3.62% per annum payable semi-annually in arrear.The 20-year bonds were issued in denominations of S$250,000 and offered to investors pursuant to exemptions under Sections 274 and/or 275 of the Securities and Futures Act, Chapter 289 of Singapore |

Stockholm Industry Water Prize
PUB won the Stockholm Industry Water Award at the World Water Week in Stockholm. In the citation for the Stockholm Industry Water Award, PUB was said to be “an exemplary model of integrated water management in a framework of good policy and innovative engineering solutions. |

Watermark Award
Organised by PUB, the Watermark award recognises the national water agency’s Friends of Water who have gone the extra mile to do their part for water. The inaugural Watermark Award recipients are Alexandra Hospital, City Development Limited, Tiong Seng Contractors, Punggol South Civil Defence Executive Committee, Dunman High School, St Andrew’s Secondary School, Temasek Polytechnic, Mr Albert Phee and Mr Tan Jia Sheng. In addition, Prof Tommy Koh, Dr Geh Min and the Waterways Watch Society – the three winners of the President’s Award for the Environment 2006. |

PUB collaborated with Singapore Sports Council and the Seletar Country Club to conduct sailing at Lower Seletar Reservoir. Other recreational activities were:

Mr Khoo Teng Chye was appointed the Chief Executive of the PUB with effect from 8 Dec 2003. He was previously the CEO & Chief Planner at the Urban Redevelopment Authority and Group President of PSA Corporation Ltd. |

September
The Government has accepted the recommendation of the Expert Panel to proceed with the indirect use of NEWater as an additional source of drinking water. PUB would introduce 2mgd of NEWater (less than 1% of total daily water consumption) into the reservoirs in Feb 2003. |

2001 |
August
All seven wafer fabrication operating in three wafer fabrication parks at Tampines, Pasir Ris and Woodlands signed sales agreements to purchase NEWater to replace their use of PUB potable water. Together they consumed about 11 mgd of water.
Plant expansion of the the two NEWater plants from 5 mgd each to 7 mgd was scheduled in Dec 2002. | |
