Types Of ProductsThere are two types of products under WELS -- Mandatory WELS and Voluntary WELS.
- Products Under Mandatory WELS
These products are required by PUB to comply with the WELS efficiency standards and requirements. They must be accompanied by labels for the specified supply, sale and use in Singapore.
- Products Under Voluntary WELS
It is not necessary for these products to meet the PUB’s WELS efficiency standards and requirements. Vendors of these products may voluntarily apply for their products to be labelled by demonstrating that their products meet PUB's WELS efficiency standards and requirements.
