As part of the programme, a 230m-long stretch of the canal has been enhanced aesthetically with landscape plants and rain gardens along its banks. These rain gardens enhance the biodiversity of the area besides cleansing the rainwater runoff that is discharged into the canal.
This site serves as outdoor classroom where students can learn how a natural cleansing system can improve the quality of rainwater runoff.
The enhanced communal green space encourages residents to gather and enjoy the outdoors.
