The Singapore Watermark Awards (SWMA) is the nation’s highest accolade that honours organisations for their exemplary leadership and outstanding achievements in advancing the water sustainability agenda in Singapore. By recognising role models, the awards inspire businesses and the community to do their part in conserving water. To date, 72 recipients have been conferred the award since it was inaugurated in 2007.
Four organisations emerged from a competitive field of 33 nominations to receive PUB’s prestigious SWMA, presented by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and the Environment, Ms Goh Hanyan, at an award ceremony on 25 September 2026. These recipients are Amazon Web Services (AWS) Singapore, National University Health System (NUHS), Institute of Technical Education (ITE), and Micron Technology (Micron). They demonstrated how sustained commitment and a systematic approach can turn ambition into action. Through leadership, innovation and partnerships, they have overcome sector-specific challenges to advance water sustainability and advocacy.
This year’s SWMA achieved several firsts. NUHS became the first healthcare organisation to receive the award, while ITE’s win marks the first time an entire cluster of campuses has received the award. Repeat SWMA winner, AWS Singapore, was also the first organisation since the award’s return to receive all three honour - the SWMA, WEA and WEAP. Meanwhile, Micron received both the SWMA and WEAP.
