$300 Climate Vouchers for all HDB households from 15 April 2024

Vouchers can be used to purchase a wider range of energy- and water- efficient products

4 March 2024 – To enable households to be more efficient in their use of energy and water, the National Environment Agency (NEA) and PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency will enhance the Climate Friendly Households Programme (CFHP).

2. From 15 April 2024, all HDB households¹ will receive $300 worth of Climate Vouchers as part of the enhanced CFHP. These vouchers can be used to purchase 10 types of energy- and water-efficient household products, with new additions such as direct current fans, washing machines and water closets. The Climate Vouchers will be valid until 31 December 2027.

3. By switching to more efficient appliances and fittings, households can reduce their energy and/or water consumption, lower their utility bills, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and play their part in slowing down climate change.

Claiming and Spending Climate Vouchers

4. From 15 April 2024, HDB households can claim their Climate Vouchers by logging on to RedeemSG (go.gov.sg/cv-claim) with their Singpass account. To use the Climate Vouchers, they can present the voucher with proof of address² at participating retail outlets. More details on how to redeem the vouchers and the list of participating retailers are listed in the Annex.

5.  Singpass accounts may be created online or by visiting the nearest Singpass counter for assistance. Seniors who do not own a smartphone or require assistance may approach members of their households for assistance in accessing their vouchers. Alternatively, they can contact NEA at nea@redeem.gov.sg or 6225 5632.

About the Climate Friendly Households Programme

7.  The Climate Friendly Households Programme was launched in November 2020 to help 1-, 2- and 3-room HDB households save on utility bills in the longer run through vouchers for the purchase of energy-efficient refrigerators, LED lights and water-efficient shower fittings.

8.  From 15 April 2024, the programme will be enhanced to benefit more households when they purchase eligible energy- and water-efficient household products. In addition to extending the Climate Vouchers to all HDB households, we have also increased the voucher quantum and included a wider range of eligible products. Households can also flexibly select different denominations of vouchers to use for their purchases. More details of the current and enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme are appended below:

Steps to claim and spend Climate Vouchers

How to claim:

1. Visit go.gov.sg/cv-claim. Tap on ‘Climate Vouchers’.
2. Log in with Singpass. Only one household member needs to do this on behalf of the household.
3. An SMS from sender ‘gov.sg’ with a link will be sent to the registered Singpass phone number. Forward the SMS to share vouchers with household members.

 

How to spend:

1. Present proof of address with Climate Vouchers. Examples of proof of address include bank statements, utility bills, Singpass mobile application or NRIC.
2. Choose the amount to spend. Then tap on ‘Show voucher’.
3. Show QR code to cashier. They will scan it to complete your payment.
