Revised Licensed Plumber (LP) Scheme (2018)
PUB will revise the existing Licensed Water Service Plumber (LWSP) scheme for plumbers from
1 April 2018 which require all sanitary plumbers to be licensed.
From 1 April 2018, only PUB Licensed Plumbers (LPs) licensed under this revised scheme will be allowed to install, fix and maintain plumbing systems for water service and sanitary works.
Why do we have the revision?
The LP scheme aims to upgrade the industry’s standards by streamlining the operations of water service and sanitary plumbing - through training, licensing of qualified plumbers and enforcement against non-compliance with PUB's rules and regulations.
