Water Closet Replacement Project

PUB has launched a project in the older HDB flats to help households who were placed on community assistance schemes in 2017 to 2020 to replace their 9 litres water closets with more water efficient ones. This replacement were done for free, and is aimed at helping families to save water.

PUB had also replaced the existing non-water efficient basin taps/mixers and kitchen taps/mixers at the same time.

How much water can these households save after installing a water efficient water closet?

In general, households can save up to 5 litres of water for each flush with the replacement of their  water closets. Overall, they can save up to 10% in their monthly water bills.
