1. As a part of regular inspection of major road structures in Singapore, visual inspection of Elgin Bridge, Esplanade Bridge and Merdeka Bridge located over Singapore river/ Marina Reservoir/ Kallang River at North Bridge Road, Esplanade Drive & Nicoll Highway respectively, will be carried out by the LTA appointed consultant, Novaars International Pte Ltd, on 29 May 2023 & 30 May 2023
(0900 hrs - 1800 hrs).
2.The work involves accessing the underside of the bridge using boat to visually check the condition of bridge elements such as beams girders, columns, bearings etc. and record photographs of the general condition and defects, if any.
3. All vessels are advised to keep clear of the inspection work areas and slow down when in the vicinity.
