Kite fliers from all over the world will gather once again at Marina Barrage to showcase their uniquely-designed giant kites and captivate audience with their stunt-kite performances. Other fun activities and workshops like kite and wind garden making are also not to be missed.</p><p><br>Admission to Marina Barrage and registration for the various workshops are complimentary. Works​hops will start from 2pm. Kite Making Workshop</strong><br>Express yourself by designing and crafting your own with eco-friendly materials.</p><p style="font-size:18px;"><strong>3. ​Lolli- Drop</strong><br>A highly popular activity where kids can catch mini-parachutes falling down with sweets attached. He ventured out to creating artistic inspired kites after being inspired by the works of artists monochromatic. His aim is to reach out to people by showing them simple kite shapes and inspire more people to open the doors of modern art through kites. He started his career as a professional kite flyer since 1997. In 2000, he established the Kite Club. During nearly 20 years of operation, the Kite Club has joined many kite festivals and competitions in and outside Vietnam. Notably Ba Ria Vung Tau Kite Club built the kite which was recorded and recognized as the record of the largest kite in Vietnam. In Vietnam, people including himself love to fly traditional flute kites. In the past, it was impossible to bring flute kites to other countries outside Vietnam since it is made from bamboos and therefore too big to carry around. Hence, he is the first kite flyer who created the method of assembling flute kites from smaller components. As a result, he was able to bring flute kites to international kite festivals around the world. </p><p><br> </p><p style="text-align:center;"> ​<img src="http://public.prdweb.pub.gov.sg/sites/assets/MarinaBarrageAssets/Vietnam.jpg" alt="" style="margin:5px;" /> </p><p> </p></div><div class="w100 border-0"><span style="color:#000000;font-family:roboto-regular-webfont;font-size:18px;">The 8-STAR Pro Quad Kite Team is a group of fun, enthusiastic and dedicated quad line fliers from Selangor, Malaysia that have been actively flying Quads since 2013.They are committed flyers who deeply believes in giving the audience the unique show on what the team sport can offer during kite festivals.</span><p> Over the years they have been to many festivals locally honing their skills and making people smile with their performances and exposed to the internationally renowned kite festivals such as Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival, Padang Besar International Kite Festival, Singapore Kite Day @ Marina Barrage,  where many top level fliers come to meet. </p><p><br> </p><p style="text-align:center;"> ​<img src="http://public.prdweb.pub.gov.sg/sites/assets/MarinaBarrageAssets/Malaysia.jpg" alt="" style="margin:5px;" /> </p></div><div class="w100 border-0"><p>Jo and Ricky have been flying Kites for over 28 years now. They started flying sports kites and over the years and flown kites for sport, recreationally and professionally in all parts of the world. Today they mainly fly and make the larger single string kites. Jo started Kites 4 Kids in November 1995 and has since been running kite making workshops in schools, school holiday programs, after school activities, community events and all sorts of other places. Over the years they have attended many kite festivals all over Australia, from Cairns to Hobart and across to Adelaide and Karatha. They also demonstrated their kites at hundreds of events across Melbourne, with thousands of Kites and brought joy to countless kids of all ages. The main pull of kites for her was sharing the pleasure in kite flying and its cultures and traditions with kite fliers and children alike. He has been following different kite festivals such as Sanur, Bali International Kite Festival, Jakarta International Kite Festival, Mersing International Kite Festival, Perlis International Kite Festival, Bintulu International Kite Festival, Satun International Kite Festival Cha'am International Kite Festival</span><strong style="color:#000000;font-family:roboto-regular-webfont;font-size:18px;">,</strong><span lang="IN" style="color:#000000;font-family:roboto-regular-webfont;font-size:18px;text-decoration-line:underline;"><strong> </strong></span><span style="color:#000000;font-family:roboto-regular-webfont;font-size:18px;">Gujarati International Kite Festival, our very own Singapore International Kite Festival and many more.
