Singapore's tap water is within the World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water guidelines and US Environmental Public Health (Quality of Piped Drinking Water) Regulations 2008. It is suitable for drinking directly from the tap without any further filtration.
To ensure that our water supply is clean and safe, water samples are regularly collected and analysed chemically and bacteriologically at the Water Testing Laboratory. Tests are conducted to ensure that the quality of treated water is well within the World Health Organisation (WHO) Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality.
